A portrait of the creation and beginnings of Gustu, a fine-dining restaurant and cooking school for Bolivia’s impoverished youth, founded by Noma Restaurant co-founder and Danish culinary entrepreneur Claus Meyer, which kick started a gastronomic revolution in the country's capital of La Paz. Under Meyer, these young aspiring chefs work toward a better future as they attempt to establish their country as the world's next great culinary destination, similar to what Noma did for Scandinavia. It is an inspiring story of resilience and mentorship, viewed through the powerful lens of food and a celebration of the art of gastronomy.

The film is available for streaming from August 17-24, with the virtual discussion with the film’s director, Michael Lei, moderated by WBUR Arts Reporter Erin Trahan, taking place on Monday, August 24 at 7:30 PM.
