5TH ANNUAL FAMILY FESTIVAL

EDISON: THE WIZARD OF LIGHT (age 7 & up)

Sunday, November 11 | 1:00 PM

In this award-winning production, inventor Thomas Edison is obsessed by a thought: “What if I could do for the eye what my favorite invention, the phonograph, does for the ear?” Edison’s prototype, the moviemaking “kinetoscope” is nearly destroyed by Jack, a scruffy twelve year-old orphan who crashes into the lab while fleeing a truant officer. Jack eventually becomes a kind of apprentice to Edison, sharing in the adventure of the world’s greatest inventor as they both work to create the world’s first motion pictures. Truly an entertaining way to learn about the fascinating early days of filmmaking! By permission of Devine Entertainment.
